You Have the Floor: Bellevue
March 15 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Free

Local news is shifting in Pittsburgh. As outlets close, change or scale back, the question isn’t just what’s next but what local journalism could (and should) be for you.
No speeches. No panels. Just neighbors talking about what information they need, what feels overlooked and how journalism can better serve the public.
You’ll be invited to respond to questions such as:
- What’s something happening in your community that more people should understand?
- When have you felt confused about local information?
- What feels overlooked?
- What would help you better understand what’s happening around you?
- If local journalism worked perfectly for you, what would it do?
Please register for this free event and make your voice heard!
The session will include:
- A brief welcome and context
- A short opening where a few neighbors share what’s on their mind
- Small-group discussions with guided prompts
- A short reflection on themes we’re hearing
Journalists and others in media will be there as neighbors and to learn. If you work in media, please register as such. Space is limited to ensure meaningful conversation.
