2021 DEI Award & Scholarship

Bona Fide Bellevue is a Community Development Corporation (CDC) whose mission is to celebrate our unique community and welcome all who want to make Bellevue their home. We are committed to building relationships with the community and supporting efforts to improve understanding, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

To support that effort, we will be awarding two $500 scholarships to Class of 2021 graduates of Northgate High School and students who attend another school but live in the Northgate School District.

Bona Fide Bellevue is committed to making this an annual scholarship and, in coming years, we hope to increase the funding and number of students we can support.

Young people are navigating a world that is rapidly changing, and we want to recognize those students who have used, or have a desire to use, their voices and outlets of expression to empower themselves and others to make the world a more equitable place.

The DEI Award and Scholarship is intended to provide financial support to Class of 2021 high school graduates who have demonstrated an exceptional interest or who are engaged in raising awareness in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity with the hope of creating a sense of belonging for everyone, irrespective of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, challenged ability, or socioeconomic status.

Our goal is to give a voice to all students and their individual perspectives. Are you a student who has thought a lot about DEI and wants to share your ideas and perspective? If so, we want you to apply for this scholarship.
