This week we check in with BFM board member Roberta Edwards.

I am the longest serving active volunteer on the market committee. My favorite things are seeing all my neighbors and friends. Bayne Park is a highlight too, the location is supreme. Letting my 9yo have the freedom to roam, but with boundaries and a guaranteed snack date is a bonus. I love the familiarity with the vendors and the ebb and flow of guests. 

I love to come home and grill slabs of zucchini and good bread. Then layer in some fresh tomatoes and drizzle with anything from Olive and Marlowe.  If Amber at The Cakery has brownies or strawberry cake, well that is probably on the menu as well! I am exploring a more plant based eating so I plan on really experimenting this summer. 

I love to cook and have been in the boros for over 18 years. I also decided to run for Avalon council this year, so I guess that is a fun fact? I returned to school too at Duquesne University. Covid displaced me from my work in the hospitality industry.
