Today’s vendor spotlight is on Mark Sotomayor and Treecup Tea.
Treecup Tea is based out of Evans City, PA. I started with my grandma’s recipe while I was a sophomore in college. By the time I was a senior, I was in Whole Foods!
Along with my mom, Vitalia, I make several different types of tea: Peruvian Chai; Berry Jasmine; Green Tea with lemon, ginseng, lemon, and spearmint: Black tea with juniper berries and cedar firs. I also sell tie-dye shirts.
We’re committed to mobilizing a worldwide reforestation effort. For every bottle of tea sold, Treecup plants one tree in Haiti.
This is our first year at the Bellevue Farmers Market, but we are having a great time. The people are awesome! A fun fact about me is that I play the harmonica, and when we have had rain during the market, I’ve entertained the vendors and volunteers with some songs.
