Today’s vendor spotlight is on Aaron Sturges of Sturges Orchards and Farm Market.

I have a degree in horticulture from Penn State and have run a 65-acre fruit and vegetable first-generation family farm based out of Fombell, PA (3 miles west of Zelienople) since 1989. We specialize in apples, peaches, plums, Asian pears, and cherries and even produce cider and hard cider from our apples.

Each year, I grow 26 acres of apples. Every apple you eat from our stand is from a tree grown by me. I have French and English varieties, which are not available anywhere else!

I work with my son and daughter, who you will sometimes see helping at the markets. We’ve been part of the Bellevue Farmers market for several years – I really love the family atmosphere at the Market.
