Active Transportation

Bellevue is on the Move

Bellevue in Motion, the Borough’s Active Transportation Plan, establishes a vision for a safer, more connected, walkable community where people of all ages and abilities can get around with ease whether walking, biking, using transit, or driving.  Bona Fide Bellevue’s Active Transportation Committee (ATC) partnered with the Borough to develop the plan and continues to actively support its implementation.  Guided by community input and regional collaboration, the Plan outlines practical steps to improve safety, accessibility, and connectivity throughout Bellevue.

The ATC meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at 537 Bayne Avenue. Meetings are open to all, and community participation is encouraged.

Active Transportation in Action

The ATC advances this work by:

  • Sharing safety and educational resources with the community
  • Raising awareness of walking, biking, and transit use through encouragement activities
  • Hosting walking tours and community events that highlight local routes and community assets
  • Supporting efforts to create a more walkable downtown to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility while bringing more people to Lincoln Avenue
  • Advocating for safe, connected routes to key destinations, including Bellevue Memorial Park and the Three Rivers Heritage Trail
